I enjoy a cracked monitor on my Advent 7109B laptop, can I attach an external desktop monitor to it . It has a 15 pin conntection on the side of it. Will any monitor do? Do I requirement drivers for it or are they plug and play? The reason I'm asking is that it looks relatively a bit cheaper just to attach a desktop monitor than repair the one I own.

you certainly can freshly plug n play, you can mess about near drivers but it will work straight away
Yes you can attach an external monitor. . No u dont need drivers.
it should be as simple as plugging it into the laptop, although on some laptops you own to switch the simple output (usually function F8)
but just plug it surrounded by and boot up, it should work
