I formatted my computer this weekend and reinstalled XP Pro Media Center edition and immediately stand by and hibernate are missing from my shut down dialougue. Any ideas for getting them posterior??
Answer:
just check within the local user and groups other any thing in attendance related to user account(in device manager),you can find the controll given to you by xp.may be you are using a guest or another user account.
by pressing shift push button you can change stand by to hibernate surrounded by turn of window.
goto control panel and setup power option
