Answer:

1st slim gto try is to go into device governor (on XP, right click my computer, select manage, afterwards device manager within left pane)

Locate the floppy controller contained by hte tree on right, probably already opened at that as it should be flagged as have a problem.

Click it, right click select delete.

Reboot system.

If it returns with error, and is a laoptop, contact businessman for support

If a desktop, of branded type (Hp, Dell etc etc) contact manufacturer.

If a generic desktop, and below warranty, contact supplier, otherwise tryt manufacturer of the motherboard.
