I delete this accidentlally. It is not in the recycle bin and the restore disk for audio controller is broken. The D drive reads the music titles but I bring no sound and the error message indicates the item is not installed. I be not able to find it on the Acer downloads site.

From the Windows Desktop press ALT and F10 this will start up the eRecovery. You want to reinstall drivers and applications. I can't reason off the top of my principal which series of selections will gain you there. Just look through adjectives the options till you find the option to install just drivers and applications. Then choose Install and consequently on the left side click on Windows XP (or Vista whichever you have) I contemplate it should be pretty self explanatory from here. Make you choices and if you choose correctly you should be given the file to install.
You can also try the System Restore located within Accessories. This will roll back the system to a time earlier this change be made.
go to acer's website lower than support put in the model number for you system and select the correct operating system you are using and within control pane\system\device manager select the drive and select update driver
