you should contact HP to see if they own the recovery disk for Dutch auction
contact HP. if Windows Genuine Serial Number Stickers are still there, next it would be easier.

a moment ago use a windows cd and reinstall the computer and download the laptop drivers from the hp website, that mode you want need the hp disc's
You can simply be in motion to HPs web site and directive one.

You'll probably have to rate HP to ship you a replacement recovery disc.
Depending on how old-fashioned it is, you may not need one. Reboot the PC and repeatedly press the f10 push button until you see a restore menu. That is IF the PC has a complicated drive anyway. If this doesnt get it, you can go and get the replacements from the HP website.
Most computer companies offer Recovery disks, but within will be a cost involved. Go to he HP web site and check Support.
I know of 2 extraordinarily simple methods:

link 1 is a site that have them

link 2 is hp site for this
Same problem happen to me I lost my recovery disk. Luckily I still have warranty. Go to the hp site and find your computer and look for a tech support number. Phone hp tell them to transport you a recovery disk for your computer. If the computer still have warranty they will send it for free or they may charge you $20-$30. Goood luck
