My rock-hard drive died and the friend that was fixing my computer removed the platter from the complicated drive. He wasn't able to remove my documents because it be DEAD dead! I've hear it can cost $2500 to recover the background. Is this true? Is there another channel?
Answer:
WHAT THE HELL WAS HE DOING REMOVING THE PLATTER??? Sorry, but your friend is an idiot. The only place you can do that surrounded by is a CLEAN ROOM. If one spec of dust gets on at hand, you're done. Now you will need to move about to the data repossession specialists and have them do it. Before that, he could've purchased (or found a free one somewhere) a facts recovery program so you could've tried it on your own. There are ones that boot from a compact disc (with USB support) and you can put in a jumpdrive and rescue the files to that, or made an image of the drive, and install it to another unyielding drive.
Regards,
Brandon
if your friend opened the frozen drive , its done , go buy a unsullied drive , you have to work surrounded by a clean room to unscrew a hard drive since dust will destroy the drive..
He actually took the platter out of the storage area? If so then it is toast your notes is gone.
