How can i increase the speed of memory my laptop motherboard accept?

I hold an ASUS G1, the memory standard is DDR2 PC5400 667Mhz, i purchased 2GB's of kingstons PC6400 800mhz and i hoped that my computer would recognize it at the right speed but it simply runs at 667mhz. is there any channel to tweak the motherboard or bios so that it will run at full speed?

Answer:

According to your motherboard specs your FSB = 667Mhz. That means your strike can not run faster than 667 MHz.
if you dont have those option in bios I dont suggest so,try updating your bios
laptop r usually very picky.b4 u do anything check near asus first.
