Harddrive not showing full amount?

After not using my laptop for a year I come to find My 30 see harddrive is only showing up as 6 gigs within windows. What could create this? I also can't figure out how to draw from into my bios setings.

Answer:

Its possible you have ~24 gb of unallocated disk space.

Look contained by Disk Manager and see if you have a 6 gb Primary driver (C:) and a gray color screened-off area that is ~24 GB unallocated disk space. You can create a logical drive within that space to use for either programs or facts
A function key (they come and go from machine to machine) should draw from you into bios. This may not help, the contrivance should be autodetecting the drive. Your bios battery may be flat, but try to return with it to recognize the drive first. It may be a drive problem, none of this equipment like standing too long.
