OMG! The cord have been acting funny this week. It have to be inserted in at a correct angle within order to power my laptop, and I smelled something funny purely a sec ago - and I pulled the power cord out - and the end of it be smoking (the little yellow tip is kinda black now)??? HELP!?!?!?
Answer:
hey, looks approaching there's been a power surge, why dont u capture the laptop checked at an authorized service center, if the lappie is still under warranty, u might obtain the power cord replaced, if thats not possible, buy a surge protector for the power cord, it'll give a hand...
Smoke usually precedes fire. Quit using it before it blows up and enjoy someone qualified check it out.
call your laptop factory owner... tell them what happen... they should cover for it...
not good ... hopefully the problem is within the cord side of the connector and u should replace it before it messes up the laptop side of the connector .... consequently ur screwed if that happens ...
Call your computer capitalist and ask for a new cord if smaller number than a year old.
Or, walk to a computer store like CompUSA and rate $120 for a universal cord. Take your computer beside you as there are several universal power supply and have to be exact one if works on your computer.
Sounds like you stipulation a new power adapter and a untried power connector.
Call HP and get it serviced by someone who is qualified to do so.
I definetely would stop using it. You may interrupt your pc. If you tried using it within any other outlet and it did the same piece then you may want to buy a new cord!
it sounds similar to you either hold a bent connector in at hand somewhere or a foreign object of some sort get lodged in in that.
It's probably a BAD idea to verbs using that power cord.
