Haggling counsel for buying a laptop over the phone?

I am going to buy a Dell MPS M1710 over the phone from the Dell company.



Can anyone please offer me some tips on haggling beside them to get the best possible price and specs?

if you wont buy it for the their price of late tell them youll buy it from their competitors whoever they might be. since ur over the phone it would be harder than within person b/c you could flash ur money surrounded by front of them
I know for a fact the prices are not firm on Dell's website. They will come down if you draw from them on the phone. I've done it. Tell them all you enjoy to spend is x amount and they will deal as long as it's believable. when I mentioned to them the fact that I adjectives ready have four of their machines in my home, that help as well. they knock off in the order of $200 off on my daughter's desktop computer.
